I’m Dr. Gurmeet Makkar, veterinarian and proud owner of Sunrise Pet Hospital. With over 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine, my passion has always been rooted in one thing: building lasting bonds with pets and the people who love them.

From my early days in mixed animal practice to now focusing on small animals, my journey has been driven by compassion, community, and a deep respect for the human-animal connection. Whether it’s routine care or helping families navigate pet travel, I believe every pet deserves to be treated like family.

After a brief break from full-time practice, I’ve returned with renewed purpose—and I’m here not just as your vet, but as your partner in care. Sunrise Pet Hospital isn’t just a clinic—it’s a place where pets are cherished, and families are supported.
